CHA-UK Creative Exchanges
Designer Initiative at Craft, Hobby and Stitch International 2016
At this year’s CHSI (Stitches) show, CHA-UK were thrilled to be able to offer nine designers, educator and blogger members (DEBs) the opportunity to showcase their work and talent as part of the CHA-UK stand. This unique opportunity was brought together by the events team, chaired by board member Sarah Hurley with help from Sara Naumann and Craig De Souza as a follow on from the success of the annual Creative Exchanges event.
Each DEB member was given a 6ft table plus back wall to showcase their work. While CHA-UK promoted this area via social media, member’s newsletters and during the show to maximum awareness. Through this initiative the exhibiting DEB members were able to build quality leads and have engaging conversations with many top industry businesses. This resulted in a clearer understanding of the next steps to grow their business.
A huge Thank You to CHSI, Adam Elkins and the ICHF team for making this possible, the initiative has proved so successful that CHA-UK are now developing plans for 2017.
